Cube Root is working with the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) to provide construction management inspection services for the Safe Routes to School (SRTS) Sidewalk Gap and Safety project. Launched in 2005, the SRTS program receives federal and local funds to encourage and facilitate active transportation for schoolchildren. DDOT works with DC schools to improve facilities for walking and biking to encourage more students and parents to walk and bike to school. The program offers school planning assistance, sidewalk construction, and bicycle education.
