Children's National Hospital interior

Consistently ranked among the top ten children’s hospitals across the country, Children’s National Hospital continues to improve the current state of research and innovation through the development of the Children’s National Research & Innovation Campus (CNRIC) in the DC metro area. With the purchase of a 12-acre parcel of the former Walter Reed Army Medical Center in northwest Washington, DC, the Hospital is renovating the four structures that sit on the property.

Cube Root worked as a major subcontractor to perform construction management services on the renovation of the 170,000 SF of life-science laboratory space located in Building No. 45, a 342,000 SF, 8-story building formerly occupied by the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology and the National Museum of Health and Medicine. Cube Root’s services included permitting support, government relationship support, and design review.
